About The Position

As a temporary Human Resource Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for managing a variety of personnel-related tasks and will provide support to the People Operations department and SAFY employees regarding human resources-related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. As a member of this team, you will build working relationships with candidates and new SAFY employees, complete HRIS data entry, manage the electronic files and other administrative duties. Seeking a temporary full-time/on-site preferred, but flexibility for remote/part-time opportunities may be available for a minimum of 14 weeks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information.

Nice To Haves

  • Higher education and/or applicable experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, ADP Workforce Now, learning management systems and other online systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages the administrative needs for the People Operations Department and assists the team with various projects
  • Managing the tracking, follow up and electronic filing of all new hire paperwork
  • Manage electronic employee records and maintain, update and audit internal employee files ensuring information is accurate, up‐to‐date, and comprehensive
  • Ensure all new hires complete the required 1-9 Verification documentation in a timely manner
  • Performs pre‐employment onboarding and candidate communication activities such as but not limited to background checks and completing any internal documentation.
  • Draft offer letters, communicates important employment information
  • Responsible for internal communication regarding new hires, terms, and other employee updates
  • Responsible for assisting with compliance and contractual audits
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements for improving data quality and process efficiencies
  • Navigation, reporting and basic troubleshooting in HRIS
  • Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences of staff, SAFY youth, foster parents and external vendors
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned
