About The Position

Roto-Rooter is rapidly expanding through acquisitions and internal growth, offering an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Assistant at their Bridgeport location in Stratford, CT. The hourly rate for this position is $22.00-$24.00, depending on experience, and the company is hiring immediately. Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is North America's largest plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services provider, operating in over 100 company-owned branches, independent contractor territories, and approximately 400 independent franchise operations, serving about 90% of the U.S. population and parts of Canada. Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated prior experience in accounts receivable accounting is highly preferred for this role.
  • AS400 knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and accurate completion of office operations and act as administrative support to the management team.
  • Communicate benefit information to employees.
  • Interface with appropriate Home Office personnel to answer general employee questions.
  • Collect and file signed time records for hourly and commissioned employees.
  • May compute payroll for office staff and forward it to home office payroll representative.
  • Work with payroll representative to resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Handle customer's confidential payment information.
  • Balance services technicians turn-in paperwork against computer reports and complete reconciliation reports of technician credit cards according to company policy.
  • May call all current A/R accounts to confirm receipt of the correct invoice.
  • May call all delinquent accounts to collect past due balances.
  • Prepare correspondence and inter-office memos as needed for communication between customers, management, office staff, and technicians.
  • Order and maintain office supplies for the branch.
