About The Position

Administrative Assistant - Palmdale, CA Job Summary Responsible for performing accurate and timely administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing shipments, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, and filing. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Amazing Customer Service Review E-mails Scheduling Appointments Scheduling Orders Maintaining Documents (Physical & Digital) Chart Filling Input information on files Request file information Checking voicemail on a daily basis Shipping via (FedEx, UPS, etc.) At all times you will perform and undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are requested of you by the Project Manager and all management. Prioritizes and plans work activities Ability to learn new software

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English (verbal and written).
  • Good math skills including; density conversions, ratio, percentages, and basic math.
  • Extensive software/computer skills are required in use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel), as well as Internet research abilities and keyboarding.
  • Self-starter and ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or sufficient experience pertaining to this job.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mon-Fri - 8hrs./day
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, or authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with computer-based inventory management software preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing/distribution software or general business software a plus.
  • Some knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, or distribution environments is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
