As the Housing Administrative Assistant at Old Faithful, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the park running smoothly. From managing employee life-cycle activities and housing operations to supporting training and engagement programs, every team member helps create a positive, inclusive, and sustainable work environment. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: 4/23/2026 - 10/30/2026 Pay: $18.25/hr. Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Requirements

  • Ability to work within a fast paced and quickly changing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Company policies and procedures, Park/Company guidelines and resources for cases with extenuating circumstances.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to walk or stand for at least 30 minutes at a time.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work above 7,700 feet elevation.
  • Can navigate housing facilities and climb stairs daily.
  • Walks regularly between HR and other department offices.
  • Able to sit for 30–120 minutes or more.
  • Can walk continuously for up to one mile.
  • Comfortable walking on uneven, icy, or snow-covered terrain

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly, accurately, and promptly process all administrative functions within the Housing office.
  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships with HR/Housing Managers, department managers, and employees on location to foster open communication and teamwork.
  • Maintain high standards of guest service and confidentiality when interacting with staff, ensuring professionalism and discretion at all times.
  • Keep accurate records of all employee and departmental files, updating and organizing them in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Provide proper security and confidentiality around employee files and information, implementing protocols to safeguard sensitive data and limiting access to authorized personnel.
  • Serve as a role model for employees by maintaining a professional demeanor, observing all Xanterra Parks & Resorts policies, and adhering to state and federal laws.
  • Support fellow staff members and contribute to team effort in whatever capacity may be needed, offering assistance and adapting to changing needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including taking on Residence Coordinator responsibilities when scheduling necessitates it, and remaining flexible to support department operations.
