About The Position

Provides administrative support to the Department of Patient and Family Resources. Work performed involves a variety of responsibilities in varying degrees of difficulty, ranging from standard secretarial assignments to administrative duties that would otherwise require the personal attention of the Database Coordinator, Department Director, administrative staff or department staff. Performs, with a considerable degree of independent accountability, difficult technical and administrative work in support of the department's core functions and processes.

Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Three to five years' progressively responsible secretarial/administrative experience with independent project management required.
  • Experience must include independent use of personal computer applications including word processing, spreadsheet and database management skills (applications such as Word, Access and Excel).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
  • Requires initiative and the ability to work independently, demonstrating organizational skills and flexibility.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal secretarial training preferred
  • AA or Bachelors degree can be substituted for two years of experience.
