Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum three years of clerical experience.
  • License: None required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and adjust employee work schedules to meet business and staffing requirements.
  • Ensure adequate shift coverage while considering employee availability, workload balance, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Process time-off requests, shift swaps, and schedule changes while maintaining fairness and efficiency.
  • Communicate scheduling details, changes, and updates promptly to employees and management.
  • Work closely with department heads to anticipate scheduling needs and resolve conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and reports for payroll and compliance purposes.
  • Monitor employee attendance, tardiness, and overtime, addressing any concerns as needed.
  • Utilize scheduling software to streamline shift planning and workforce management.
  • Assist in forecasting staffing needs based on business demands and seasonal trends.
  • Function as a professional and collaborative team member.
  • Performs needed clerical tasks, including copying, scanning, and filing.
  • Works closely with Nursing Home Administrator and Director of Nursing on various projects.
  • Develops and sends weekly newsletter to facility.
  • Helps to manage electronic and paper files.
  • Provides staff support and acts as a resource.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and industry regulations regarding work hours and breaks.
  • Incorporates the Eden philosophy of living into every action undertaken throughout one’s employment.
