We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our Development team as a Development Project Assistant. This role supports multiple commercial development projects from concept through construction, assisting in permit coordination, documentation management, and communication with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate development, construction management, or architecture, with a solid understanding of planning, zoning, and building permit processes. Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in construction development, real estate, or architectural coordination
  • Demonstrated experience managing or tracking permit applications and related documentation
  • Must have direct building permitting experience and familiarity with Development process, entitlement procedures, and municipal review systems
  • Experience working with or supporting architectural and engineering consultants
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple active projects in fast-paced environments
  • Must have drafting or AutoCAD experience (for plan markups or as-built coordination).
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card in Arizona
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be comfortable working on a computer for extended periods
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, or lift up to 25 lbs
  • Must maintain confidentiality and compliance at all times

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GIS mapping tools preferred.
  • Working knowledge of International Building Codes (IBC) and local zoning ordinances preferred.
  • Experience preparing RFI logs, submittals, and project tracking tools preferred.
  • 4-year college degree, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support project coordination and document management across multiple development sites in various states and jurisdictions
  • Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with local and state agencies
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure timely progress and compliance with development schedules
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, reports, and tracking logs
  • Assist with due diligence activities, including property research and entitlement documentation
  • Help organize and participate in project meetings, maintaining action item lists and follow-up documentation
