About The Position

Venice, FL based industry leading, forward thinking and progressive Fire Protection Company seeks an Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team! This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, position with an excellent benefit package. Employment for a dedicated, self-motivated individual is immediate. While not required, prior Fire Safety Industry Knowledge is a plus. Job Responsibilities: Entry Level Assistant to the Accounting Department to include, but not limited to, the following: Processing of contractor pay applications, review of submittals and required documentation Accounts Receivable and Collections for Projects and Service work Notice of Commencement and Notice to Owner processing Process requests for Certificates of Insurance Review and assist with weekly Labor Imports Assist with annual Contractor Registrations Knowledge of Construction billing and verbiage a plus

Requirements

  • 2-3 years relevant accounting experience
  • Proven oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, Adobe
  • The ability to be organized and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Problem solving and investigation skills
  • Detail-oriented and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
  • MVR checks are required for all driving positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Software experience with Great Plains and Service Trade a plus
  • Knowledge of Construction billing and verbiage a plus
  • Prior Fire Safety Industry Knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities
