About The Position

Under the general supervision of the MS in Nutrition and Dietetic Practice Program Director, responsibilities will include but are not limited to data tracking for program accreditation and supporting student success, anticipating and fulfilling programmatic needs in relation to program marketing and recruitment, managing vital internal documentation, overseeing financial processes, and event coordination including planning, organizing and scheduling. The Administrative Assistant will be expected to enhance relations, serving as a resource and liaison with program stakeholders, and work independently and professionally with all contacts. In addition, the Administrative Assistant will provide full administrative support for the team and perform general office duties. The Administrative Assistant will be expected to demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, critical thinking, initiative, excellent customer service skills requiring a high level of diplomacy and professionalism, an ability to establish priorities, and a positive outlook.

  • High School Diploma Required.
  • 1-3 years experience in an administrative setting.

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and fulfill programmatic needs in relation to data tracking for program accreditation and supporting student success, program marketing and recruitment, overseeing financial processes, and event coordination including planning, organizing and scheduling.
  • Facilitate relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and work independently and professionally with all contacts.
  • Provide full administrative support through maintaining calendars, scheduling/confirming appointments, developing and managing intuitive systems for the maintenance of electronic and physical files, and taking meeting minutes.
  • Perform general office duties involving word processing, greeting office visitors, mail distribution, and telephone reception to effectively implement department policies and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, critical thinking, initiative, excellent customer service skills requiring a high level of diplomacy and professionalism, an ability to establish priorities, and a positive outlook.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with peers and supervisor regarding performance and integrate feedback.
  • Perform additional office support functions and other duties as assigned.
