About The Position

The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the site. This role is essential in facilitating communication, organizing workflows, and maintaining documentation, thereby contributing to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the team. Position will also support corporate office functions at the Savannah site.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven 3 + years of experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Expert in Microsoft Office 360 Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to create professional communications with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the organization, changing priorities, and communication styles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to wear any Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Ability to work safely in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to wear a headset

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, submitting expense reports, and maintaining calendars.
  • Prepare and maintain documents, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external communications, addressing inquiries and directing them to the appropriate contact.
  • Maintain files ensuring that all documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support cross-functional projects.
  • Assist with new employee hires such as administering testing, collecting required documentation, sponsoring benefit clinics, maintaining employee list and contacts, maintain positive relationships with site staff.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the creation, revision, and approval of Quality Control documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality manuals.
  • Maintain quality-related documentation within the organization. This role ensures that documents are created, reviewed, approved, and archived in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, thereby supporting the overall quality management system.
  • Support safety activities at the plant.
  • Support various senior leadership in administrative activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.
