About The Position

The Administrative Assistant at Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC) plays a crucial role in providing executive-level administrative support to the Corporate Office in Utqiaġvik, Alaska. This position operates under the supervision of the Corporate Executive Assistant and Administrative Manager, and it encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that are essential for the smooth functioning of the office and support for senior executives, including the President/CEO and the Board of Directors. The Administrative Assistant is tasked with tracking and compiling information, preparing correspondence and reports, and handling confidential information with the utmost discretion. This role also involves maintaining supply and equipment inventory, as well as supporting various functions related to accounting, travel, and meetings. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality is essential for success in this role. They will also support day-to-day office operations, maintain a tidy work environment, and serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will assist in organizing company events and seminars, draft and proofread communications, and maintain accurate records and documentation. Financial responsibilities include assisting with budget tracking, expense reporting, and coordinating with finance departments for timely processing of transactions.
