About The Position

This position provides administrative support to the Director of Finance and Finance Department overall who are responsible for accounting and treasury functions for approximately ten Diocesan entities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting several people.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent clerical skills regarding filing, follow up, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial industry experience desired; banking, investments, insurance.

Responsibilities

  • As the primary point of contact for the Finance Department, direct all inquiries to appropriate individuals.
  • Recordkeeping, ensuring that all accounting records are in order both on and off-site.
  • Oversee Parish Bequest Archives.
  • Maintain parish corporation records.
  • Administer stock donation recordkeeping.
  • Arrange logistics both on and off-site for all Finance meetings including Diocesan Finance Council, Foundation Finance Committee Meetings, Diocesan Investment Committee, Insurance Claims Review, and other meetings internally and externally.
  • Supports both the Director and Controller on all administrative tasks.
  • Assists Controller in accounting assignments that include disbursement request processing, check distribution, etc.
  • Other duties assigned.
