About The Position

The Appleton Area School District is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to join the Human Resources team at the District Leadership Center. This full-time position (1.0 FTE) is essential for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include managing communications, maintaining records, and assisting with various HR functions. The role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing a welcoming environment and addressing inquiries related to human resources. This position involves managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings. Additionally, the candidate will assist in the preparation of HR documents, maintain employee records, and support the HR team in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm during the school year, totaling 37.5 hours per week, and 35 hours per week during the summer months. The starting pay for this position ranges from $21.17 to $24.35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
