About The Position

The Children’s Network of Hillsborough is committed to working with the community to protect children and preserve families. General Purpose of Job To provide administrative support to the Integrated Health team, with a focus on record requests, Medicaid correspondence, and facilitating care gap closures. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), plus (2) years of administrative or secretarial office experience is required.
  • Valid driver’s license required, with proof of insurance
  • Driver’s license check is a requirement
  • No special certification or registration is required for this position
  • Criminal background screening (fingerprinting) (Local Law Enforcement and FBI/FDLE)
  • Drug Screening is a requirement
  • Should possess strong language skills, including excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation, to ensure clear and professional communication.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in English is essential, with additional language skills being highly valued for supporting diverse teams and clients.
  • The ability to draft, edit, and proofread documents accurately is critical, as is the capability to interpret and relay information effectively across various communication channels.
  • Strong listening skills are equally important for understanding and addressing the needs of colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A high level of cultural sensitivity and adaptability in communication further enhances the ability to work in a dynamic, multilingual environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review immunization status as per Florida SHOTS, Well Child Checkup (WCC) and Dental status as per FLMMIS
  • Assist supervisor and nurses with on-going care coordination
  • Request medical/dental records for nurses, follow-up on receipt of records, input uncomplicated medical/dental records into data system and inform nurses if follow up is needed.
  • Upload records into FSFN and send documents to records team for electronic filing
  • Update (master) care gap log with measurables
  • Contact physician offices, pharmacies, insurance companies and other medical providers as needed
  • Schedule appointments as necessary and requested
  • Make PCP changes as needed and assist with Medicaid related correspondence
  • Participate in monthly performance meetings and trainings
  • Assist with new member announcements and explanation of benefits
  • Answer, screen, and route telephone calls as needed
  • Develop HEDIS related educational documents for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare routine correspondence as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned as special projects may be requested
