Provides and coordinates the Employee Health Department including new hire onboarding and employee injuries. Assists CNO with administrative duties as assigned. Coordinates and provides oversight of nursing schedule. Coordinates scheduling for nursing department to maintain workflow and census needs. Collaborate with site administrators regarding employee injuries, health concerns, communicable disease and safe return/release to work. Oversees Employee Health duties to maintain compliance for new hire onboardings via health screenings and employee health file creation and maintenance. Takes absence/sick calls and makes staffing changes as directed. Ensures adequate staff by utilizing all nursing personnel and agency if needed Maintains staff schedules for the Nursing department. Calls and schedules staff for replacement of leave of absence and schedules adjustments. Formats, prints, and post staff schedules whiling maintaining absenteeism records. Supports CNO with administrative duties critical to maintain the nursing department. Responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Licensed Vocational Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.

Requirements

  • Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
  • Experience: At least one year of nursing experience that includes clinical, administrative, and scheduling oversight.
