About The Position

This role supports the functionality of student affairs operations that are responsible for delivering health and wellness and/or academic success programs and services to medical students. Positions for which support is provided include: Manager, Wellness and Integrative Medicine, Assistant Dean, Student Affairs and Career Services, Director, Academic Support Services, Manager, Student Events and Organizations. This position performs duties that support both Wellness and Academic Support Services as it relates to preparation of programs/workshops, data tracking, scheduling and coordination, and one-on-one student appointment outreach. This position also performs duties related to Student Affairs and supports complex programming required to deliver wellness, academic support, and general support for medical students, including support for all student events on and off campus. This position requires a wide breadth of high level critical thinking and project management schools, as well as the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information properly. In addition, there will be support needs for any meetings, conferences, training, events, etc. executed by any department on a seasonal basis. This position can also be expected to perform research and compile materials as needed for committees, special events, proposals, grants, and other data collection instruments or presentations. This role will also work with business functions such as travel, purchasing, supplies, and payables

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
