About The Position

Under the general direction of the Division Director, this position provides a full range of administrative and technical support to the director of the Juvenile Justice Services Division (JJSD) and to other units as assigned. The position assists in the preparation of and coordinates the publication and distribution of annual reports; manages databases; develops PowerPoint presentations; coordinates general scheduling; drafts general correspondence and other duties as assigned. Work is generally performed independently and is reviewed by the supervisor for content and accuracy. Under the general direction of the Program Manager, this position provides primary support to the activities within assigned units. This position will prepare, coordinate, and execute routine correspondence; coordinate and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual budget correspondence; and assist with ordering supplies, equipment, and business cards. This position will also provide a full range of support for meeting needs as well as attend local and statewide meetings, conferences, and committees, and prepare meeting minutes. This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks. Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and related training or college course work and four years’ experience in an office setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated proficiency in business writing, grammar, and punctuation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with databases and spreadsheets
  • Ability to compose letters independently from oral and written instruction and draft responses to routine inquiry
  • Follow complex oral and written instructions
  • Organize workload, set priorities, and carry out assigned tasks in a timely manner.
