About The Position

The UNLV School of Public Health invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant III. The position is responsible for the MPH, HCA, MHA and EMHA programs and it assists all students, part-time instructors, academic advisors, academic faculty and graduate coordinators associated with those classes and/or programs; duties of this position include, but are not limited to: maintaining the graduate and alumni records for those programs; retrieving and providing the graduate coordinators with accreditation-specific information; part-time instructor, temporary employees employment documents; class scheduling, including the School’s TEC room calendar; coordinating orientation, training and School events; submitting purchasing requisitions, payment requests and expense reimbursements; and providing and/or directing walk-ins, telephone callers, and the general public with information specific to the programs listed above. In addition, many of the School’s academic faculty have research-intensive programs that require assistance from this position with grant-specific employment documents, travel documents, purchasing, training programs, and service provider documents. Provide support in organizing and coordinating special events and activities held by the School and other duties as assigned. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
  • Three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience.
  • Experience in maintenance of complex records and files.
  • Experience in public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies.
  • Experience in preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents.
  • Assisting staff and management with projects and activities.
  • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Training and applied experience in Workday, Archibus, MyUNLV, PeopleSoft, UNLV Analytics.
  • Proficiency in Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
