About The Position

Requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both external and internal contacts.
  • Basic skills in the use of Microsoft Word and applicable Microsoft software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in data systems such as VaCMS, Prodagio, SVES, SPIDeR, and Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with document imaging systems including OpenText and Prodagio.
  • Experience providing front-line customer service in a public assistance environment.
  • Experience supporting a hiring team with the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients in completing forms and applications in a lobby setting.
  • Screen and scan documents received in person, by mail, and online.
  • Complete tasks using Microsoft Office programs with accuracy and completeness.
  • Retrieve raw information and enter data into state, local, and privatized databases.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate orally and in writing.
  • Compile data and submit reports.
  • Prepare standard disbursement forms for routing and approval.
  • Compile and maintain daily and weekly totals, reports, and financial statements.
  • Perform data entry into corporate systems and review completed forms for accuracy.
  • Order, inventory, receive, and shelve routine supplies; review invoices and packing slips.
  • Schedule routine meetings and notify participants in advance.
  • Produce and electronically distribute simple documents such as flyers.
  • Maintain a system for tracking the progress of work and orient new employees on procedures.
