About The Position

The Administrative Assistant II performs complex administrative duties independently in support of one or more functional areas, departments or administrators within established rules and regulations. This role involves organizing and managing daily activities to assure efficient operations, providing information to departments, personnel, students, and the public on the phone and in person, and resolving problems requiring judgment and knowledge of policies. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating class schedules, assisting instructors, monitoring department expenditures, processing forms and applications, and maintaining confidential files. The position also involves typing correspondence, preparing reports, ordering supplies, and training others as directed. The Administrative Assistant II is expected to participate in efforts to increase diversity and create an inclusive work environment.
