About The Position

Dominion Energy's Electric Transmission Communications, Permitting and Workforce Engagement organization is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide department-wide support. Under general supervision, this role provides clerical and administrative/secretarial support to a management level(s), and department or staff. Performs general office duties such as: answering and screening telephone calls, making appointments and scheduling meetings, processing mail and faxes, composing correspondence, collecting, compiling and analyzing information and data, providing information on inquiries, maintaining and updating office supplies, assisting in maintenance of department files, performing data entry and maintaining and updating department informational databases. May process expense reports/invoices, provide budget tracking support, handle confidential records and information and make travel arrangements. Uses discretion in making decisions regarding planning, organizing and scheduling work. Provides general typing and word processing support. Regularly uses computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and presentation software. Department specific duties to include assisting in employee experience programming such as orientation, new employee onboarding, intern and employee events. Support recruiting efforts such as processing on campus career fair reservations and logistics. Help manage promotional item procurement for new employee recognition gifts, relationship management, public event apparel for employees, etc. This position requires a willingness to be flexible in support of various other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years directly related experience.
  • Ability to collect, compile and analyze information and data.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient organizational skills.
  • Proficient skills operating computerized and standard office equipment.
  • Proficient in use of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and presentation software.
  • Ability to understand company policies and procedures, including invoice processing and travel rules.
  • Some clerical/administrative experience.
  • Understanding of SAP.
  • High School Graduate or GED.
