About The Position

The Harnish Foundation and Harnish Group Inc. is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide essential support to a small team managing a Private Foundation and the personal investments of the owners of the Harnish Group. The Harnish Foundation is dedicated to making a significant difference in the lives of individuals and improving their quality of life within the Harnish Group Inc. CAT territories, which include Washington, Alaska, North Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana. Harnish Group Inc. operates as the Caterpillar equipment dealer in these regions, and this role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the foundation's activities. This position is designed for a detail-oriented multi-tasker who possesses strong organizational and communication skills. The Administrative Assistant will support both the Harnish Foundation President and the Family Office Controller, engaging in a variety of research and administrative tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the assistant will correspond with current and prospective grant recipients in a professional and courteous manner. Success in this role hinges on consistent follow-through, organization, and meticulous attention to detail. The responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include providing administrative support to the Foundation President and Family Office Controller, managing grant requests, conducting research on grant applicants, and maintaining a database of tasks and workflows. The assistant will also be responsible for scheduling meetings, prioritizing tasks, and preparing presentations for quarterly Foundation Board meetings. This role requires a proactive approach to create a positive experience for all stakeholders involved.
