The work involves performing a wide variety of administrative activities and tasks as the Ithaca High School Registrar. Duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining confidential student records and data; possessing knowledge of and implementing NYS registration rules and regulations, as well as other relevant laws such as ESSA, McKinney-Vento, FERPA, Special Education Rights, and regulations/services pertinent to Special Education, Immigrants & Migrants, ELL students, and Military. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with visitors, students, families, alumni, outside schools, and external agencies. This role requires managing complex record-keeping systems and offering assistance to administrators. Responsibilities include creating the IHS grading calendar, overseeing notifications related to progress reports and report cards, verifying entered grades, generating At Risks lists for IHS Admin, and maintaining the course catalog and other duties related to School Tool and CYNRIC data systems. Additional duties may be assigned by the Principal and administrative team.
