About The Position

Hartzell Propeller LLC (HPI) was founded in 1917 and is headquartered in Piqua, Ohio. HPI is a world class engineering and manufacturing company offering the broadest range of propeller systems in the aviation industry. The company designs, develops, tests, manufactures, and supports constant-speed aluminum and composite propeller systems for all categories of aircraft, ranging from general aviation to military applications. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for greeting and signing-in visitors, answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate departments, mailroom administration and maintaining the coffee room. This role also provides broad administrative support to the organization, including preparing reports, correspondence, internal communications, and OptiSigns postings, scheduling meetings, and assisting with general office coordination. This role also provides support to Human Resources with company mailers, event planning, uniform ordering, vending service liaison, onboarding support, employee communications, file maintenance, and various other administrative duties. This position performs work under general supervision and handles moderately complex issues and problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Proficient Computer Skills - Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in an office setting
  • Demonstrated ability to be Discreet and Handle Confidential Information
  • Excellent Communication Skills – Both verbal and written
  • Ability to Prepare Reports and Internal Communications – Creates and formats routine reports, correspondence, employee communications, and OptiSigns postings with accuracy and professionalism
  • Solid Working Knowledge of Administrative Support Duties – Performs a broad range of administrative and staff support responsibilities across the organization
  • Adaptability - Maintaining effectiveness when work priorities shift or urgent needs arise; adjusting effectively to changing tasks, interruptions, and requests from leaders while continuing to manage assigned responsibilities
