Responsibilities

  • Answers phone and greets visitors; responds to inquiries and provides information using established guidelines or refer to appropriate individual.
  • Types correspondence and forms; scans and faxes documents, makes copies, maintains files (electronic and hard).
  • Receives, sorts and distributes mail.
  • Schedules routine appointments, maintains office/department calendars and makes routine travel arrangements.
  • Prepares travel expense reimbursement according to guidelines.
  • Performs basic data entry such as invoices and purchase orders; track purchases/receipts and process for payment.
  • Enters personnel/payroll information in HR system.
  • Monitors, maintains and stocks office, toner, paper and miscellaneous supplies as needed.
  • Maintains/updates contact information, directories, departmental lists, email lists, databases and website.
  • Compiles applications; provides applicant information to faculty; sends correspondence to applicants; answers general questions on program/course.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
