Responsibilities

  • Perform various administrative and clerical duties in support of health sciences faculty.
  • Assist in planning and implementing health sciences recruiting activities.
  • Provide administrative support to health sciences admissions staff.
  • Perform word processing duties including composing correspondences and preparing reports.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate logistical arrangements for meetings.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and record meeting minutes.
  • Sort and distribute mail as necessary.
  • Maintain and organize files, ensuring proper archiving or destruction.
  • Answer telephone calls and provide information or route calls appropriately.
  • Assist with travel arrangements and prepare reimbursement documentation.
  • Greet visitors and provide assistance or direct them as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute adjunct faculty contracts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with college policies.
  • Provide program information to students and external agencies.
  • Maintain an inventory of office equipment and supplies.
  • Operate and maintain standard office equipment.
  • Assist with the development and revision of program marketing materials.
  • Assist with health sciences admissions and registration as needed.
  • Order and distribute equipment and supplies as approved by the dean.
  • Request clearance for students from hospitals based on background checks.
  • Assist with verification of students' health records and scan them into Etrieve.
  • Participate in division and institutional meetings and committees.
  • Attend in-service training and professional development opportunities.
  • Complete duties in compliance with college standards and policies.
