About The Position

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in office technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience as a receptionist, switchboard operator, or clerical worker is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask are required.
  • Ability to operate a variety of automated office machines including computers and copiers.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry weights of approximately twenty pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an academic or educational environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with student information systems or databases.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information and assistance to the public, students, and staff over the phone and in person.
  • Serve as the receptionist for the Office of the Registrar, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Perform administrative, secretarial, and clerical tasks such as answering calls, typing documents, and filing documentation.
  • Assist prospective, current, and former students with registration and information via in-person, email, and telephone.
  • Check incoming paperwork from potential students and provide information regarding registration and withdrawal processes.
  • Respond to general inquiries from students and parents about policies and procedures within Enrollment Services.
  • Organize and maintain paper files for the Registrar's office.
  • Process requests for transcripts, enrollment verification, and other academic records.
  • Assist the Registrar in supporting department functions and maintaining confidentiality of academic records.
  • Operate a computer to enter, retrieve, and verify data accuracy, utilizing various software programs.
  • Scan records onto optical disks and manage both computerized and hard-copy filing systems.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders to coordinate work activities and resolve issues.
  • Provide assistance to other employees or departments as needed.
