About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and monitoring accounts with past due invoices, effectively communicating with customers to resolve these issues, and following up as needed. Additionally, the role involves making informed decisions on holding accounts or orders when necessary, and coordinating with sales representatives and account support to resolve invoice disputes.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Customer service experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional or corporate setting
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Identify and monitor accounts for past due invoices and communicate with customers to resolve issues.
  • Decide when to hold certain accounts or orders if they become severely past due or unresponsive.
  • Release orders for accounts that may exceed their current credit limit.
  • Work collaboratively with sales representatives and account support colleagues to resolve invoice disputes.
