About The Position

The Administrative Assistant for the Comedic Arts program at Emerson College plays a crucial role in supporting the program's leadership and ensuring smooth operations. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in the Arts is strongly preferred or 2 years of work experience in the Arts serves as equivalent experience.
  • Two years of working in the administrative field.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize current office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation graphics.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite software is required.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Design and basic coding skills are a plus.
  • Fluency with social media and willingness to learn about current trends.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain calendars and schedule meetings.
  • Manage program correspondence and communication with students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Assist with course scheduling.
  • Facilitate communication between the Comedic Arts program and academic departments.
  • Provide support for events and public programs at both Boston & ELA campuses.
  • Support admissions efforts by corresponding with prospective students and attending events as needed.
  • Assist with travel arrangements and purchasing supplies.
  • Assist the Comedic Arts Curriculum Committee by scheduling meetings and organizing files.
  • Coordinate peer mentorship programming and oversee Graduate Student Assistant work.
  • Maintain and update the Comedic Arts Shared Drive.
  • Liaison between administration, faculty, and students in the Comedic Arts Conservatory Program.
