About The Position

Provides non-clinical administrative support in a military healthcare setting. Serves as the primary point of contact for service members, dependents, retirees, and civilian beneficiaries, ensuring efficient clinic operations and compliance with DoD and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; medical administration education preferred
  • Experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain base access to Nellis AFB

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients; verify identification and eligibility
  • Answer and route phone calls; manage email correspondence
  • Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-ups
  • Assist with patient intake forms and documentation
  • Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR/EMR)
  • Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA/DoD compliance
  • Verify TRICARE eligibility and assist with billing documentation
  • Order office supplies and support clinic operations
