About The Position

This position is critical for the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy’s mission to promote, preserve, and protect the public health, safety, and welfare through effective regulation of the practice of pharmacy; the licensure of pharmacists; the licensure, control, and regulation of all sites or persons who are required to obtain a license or permit from the Board of Pharmacy that distribute, manufacture, or sell prescription drugs within the Commonwealth. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the compliance and enforcement team in accordance with the regulations and policies of the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of administrative practices within a regulatory environment.
  • Ability to understand and apply statutes, regulations, and agency policies related to compliance and enforcement.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data entry, document management, and use of standard office software and databases.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to inspection and enforcement staff, including scheduling meetings and inspections as requested.
  • Process inspection and investigative reports, enforcement documents, and correspondence into agency database and in accordance with agency policy.
  • Track deadlines, follow-up actions, monitoring, and compliance timelines to ensure timely completion of enforcement activities.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive regulatory and enforcement information.
  • Serve as a liaison between inspection staff, agency leadership, licensees, and other stakeholders regarding administrative matters.
  • Assist inspectors with compiling documentation and exhibits for investigative cases and legal proceedings in coordination with the agency’s legal team.
  • Respond to inquiries from licensees, permit holders, and the public regarding inspection or investigative processes and compliance requirements, within the scope of the position.
  • Direct technical or legal questions to appropriate inspection or legal staff.
  • Provide clear, professional communication consistent with agency standards and public service expectations.
  • Support training and onboarding of new inspection staff by organizing materials and documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
