About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno seeks an Administrative Assistant 4 to provide high-level executive and operational support to the AVP for Development and Executive Directors. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position plays a key role in supporting donor engagement, fundraising initiatives, and division-wide priorities through advanced administrative coordination, communication, and project support. The Administrative Assistant 4 manages complex executive calendars; prepares and coordinates high-level meetings and materials; drafts and edits correspondence, reports, presentations, and donor-facing documents; and serves as a primary administrative liaison with senior leadership, donors, and campus partners. The role oversees office operations, procurement, travel, and fiscal documentation in compliance with University and Foundation policies. Additionally, the position supports fundraising programs and special projects by maintaining donor data, preparing reports, tracking timelines, and recommending process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which includes experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
