About The Position

The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WSCJTC) is seeking a dedicated and customer service-oriented Administrative Assistant 3 to join the Advanced Training Division (ATD). This position is crucial in providing direct administrative support and program coordination for the First Responder Wellness Program and Substance Use Disorder programs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a proactive approach to tasks, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The role requires a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism while managing various administrative duties. In this position, the Administrative Assistant will coordinate meeting logistics, which includes preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and arranging catering for both virtual and in-person meetings. The incumbent will also maintain a list of Task Force members and ensure compliance with legislative meeting requirements. Additionally, the role involves providing administrative support for the creation and publication of model policies and legislative reports, assisting the Program Manager throughout the curriculum development process, and managing grant programs that provide funding to first responder entities and agencies. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for conducting research on recent developments in law enforcement practices and policy changes, as well as assisting with program-specific reporting on a monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis. The position also entails coordinating course logistics and registration for the Substance Use Disorder Program, preparing class materials, and overseeing the course close-out process to graduate eligible students. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the programs and supporting the overall mission of the WSCJTC.
