The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 to serve as a liaison between the Bureau of Vehicle Management (BVM) and other state agencies, commissions, and legislative bodies in support of the Commonwealth's fleet. If you have strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a busy office environment, we want to hear from you! As an Administrative Assistant 1 in the Bureau of Vehicle Management (BVM), you will make determinations regarding vehicle maintenance and repair while ensuring that proper vehicle operation is followed. This includes determining best cost savings measures when approving or denying repair or maintenance to the commonwealth's automotive fleet and Identifying monies available. You will maintain and coordinate vehicle operations to ensure that all warranty requirements are being met. Additional responsibilities to include maintaining and updating BVM Fleet Management System (M5), inputting repair information and other data, and ensuring all vehicle records are properly maintained and filed in accordance with BVM policies and procedures. You will have the opportunity to receive, research, and respond to telephone requests, complaints and inquiries.
