Administrative Assistant 1 (Gift Processor)

About the position

SUNY Geneseo is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Gift Processor to join our College Advancement team. In this position, you'll play a vital role in the success of our fundraising efforts by ensuring the accurate recording, processing, and reporting of charitable contributions. You'll work closely with both the College Advancement and Accounting Services Firm and/or Geneseo Finance Office to maintain data integrity, uphold donor confidentiality, and support donor stewardship efforts.

Requirements

• One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as an Administrative Assistant 1, SG-11.
• Current permanent appointment with a minimum of 1 year of service in a position of the same title or transferable title (SG-06 or above).
• Successfully completed the 52 weeks of service as an Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 and completed the four core administrative support courses.
• One year of service in a clerical title (SG-09 or above) and completed the four core and four elective administrative support courses.
• Former state employee requesting reinstatement to the title held.
• Reachable on the NYS Civil Service Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 canvass list and received a canvass letter.
• Two years of experience in administrative support or certification/associate's degree in relevant fields.
