Responsible for managing the Street Department’s safety program and initiatives designed to protect the safety of employees and the public. Manage all aspects of safety to mitigate risks, protect employees, reduce the incidents of damage and loss to city assets, and protect all other city interests. Responsible for promoting an organization culture that prioritizes safety in all aspects of department work activities. Plans, designs, and implements safety initiatives that produce actionable results to advance safety culture. Performs highly complex administrative and professional work. May supervise assigned staff as directed.
