About The Position

The Sacramento Police Department is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Analyst to join the Crime Analysis Unit. This role involves analyzing and collecting criminal intelligence data from various sources, conducting research and analysis to support the Police Department's functions, and collaborating with sworn and civilian personnel to provide timely and accurate statistical information and recommendations.

Requirements

• Two years of full-time paid or equivalent experience in report writing, research, analysis, or technical support in administration or program management.
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, economics, accounting, personnel, or a closely related field.

• Knowledge of auditing principles.
• Basic methods of statistical analysis.
• Experience in procurement, contracting, or grant writing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and collect criminal intelligence data from multiple sources.
• Conduct research and analysis to support the Police Department's functions.
• Gather statistical information and provide analysis to complete summary reports.
• Offer recommendations based on data analysis in a timely manner.
• Perform professional analytical and technical work in budget formulation and administration.
• Compile and analyze data to make recommendations on policy, procedures, staffing, and organizational changes.
• Assist in the preparation of program-related grants, budgets, reports, and manuals.
• Coordinate procurement activities and related support functions for programs or projects.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and outcomes; prepare periodic reports.
• Represent the assigned department in committee meetings and oversee contract service providers.
