About The Position

Under the limited supervision of an Administrative Analyst 4 or other supervisor in a state department, institution, or agency, assists in the review, analysis, and appraisal of current department administrative procedures, organization, and performance, and helps to prepare recommendations for changes and/or revisions; does related duties. Specific to the Position This position will be responsible for the technical, managerial, and financial reviews of existing public water systems primarily focusing on those public water systems with a history of non-compliance through the Capacity Development Program. TMF capacity is necessary to ensure water systems are maintaining compliance with federal and State regulations, including the Lead and Copper Rule. This position will work with the federal Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program to assist certain types of water systems (publicly and privately owned community water systems and nonprofit noncommunity water systems) finance the cost of the infrastructure needed to achieve or maintain compliance and protect public health.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of professional experience in a business or government agency providing administrative support services and/or coordinating work activities.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.
  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • All persons newly hired on or after September 1, 2011, have one year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain principal residence in the State of New Jersey subject to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act”.
  • Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the United States per the Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship, and Immigration Services regulations.

Responsibilities
