About The Position

The Administrative Assistant assists the KKC Director with the daily and weekly behind-the-scenes financial duties, paperwork, organization, and administrative tasks of day camp. Coordinate with parents to collect payments and forms needed for field trips, t-shirts, and other miscellaneous trips/items.

  • Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
  • Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
  • Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
  • Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working with children in a day camp or school setting
  • Six months performing administrative duties
  • CPR certification
  • First Aid certification
  • All certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Microsoft Office programs: Excel and Word
  • Keyboarding skills, 50+ WPM.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Use registration software and ensure that families have submitted all necessary forms.
  • Create rosters for each camp week and update as needed.
  • Ensure counselors have rosters with them.
  • Ensure counselors & director have necessary forms for field trips before departure.
  • Call field trip locations to confirm reservations and call special guests to confirm details.
  • Handle payment for guest vendors, collect day camp payments, and process daily deposits for onsite payments.
  • Collect t-shirt payments and oversee t-shirt distribution.
  • Oversee name tags creation & wristband distribution (give to counselors at field trip prep).
  • Send camp email to parents on Thursdays on director’s behalf.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, students and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
