About The Position

The Administration Assistant position at Bastrop County Women's Center involves providing essential administrative support to the Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, and the Leadership Team. The role includes maintaining administrative records, assisting with board meeting preparations, and ensuring compliance with agency standards. The assistant will also represent the agency in the community and manage various communication tasks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suites (preferred).
  • Ability to commute to Bastrop, TX 78602 (required).
  • Ability to relocate to Bastrop, TX 78602 before starting work (required).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, and Leadership Team with Board meeting documentation and preparations.
  • Assist in the implementation of annual evaluations to maintain agency compliance.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Directors.
  • Assist with outgoing mail being taken to the post office and ensure that agency mail is picked up and processed every workday.
  • Assist with making deposits for the agency.
  • Assist in receiving donations and documenting them through our software program.
  • Assist with special events.
  • Cross train with other teams and provide support to team members as needed.
  • Manage scheduling for Executive Directors.
  • Draft, review and send communications on behalf of Executive Directors.
  • Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings.
  • Answer and respond to phone calls, communicate messages and information to the executive.
  • Prioritize emails and respond when necessary.
  • Maintain various records and documents for Executive Directors.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Represent FCC in the community, serving as spokesperson for official purposes.
  • Serve as a spokesperson with the media and others, or specifically delegate that responsibility.
  • Ensure agency representation at all agency functions.

Benefits

  • Part-time work schedule with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.
  • Flexible working hours, expected no more than 29 hours per week.
