Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or evidence of work towards a bachelor degree (degree requirement may be waived in lieu of 10 years+ experience in an operating room environment).
• Graduation from an accredited program of professional nursing.
• Three (3) years of clinical experience within the past five (5) years in an Operating Room/Surgery unit within a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated leadership in the department within the last two (2) years (e.g., project management, charge nurse role, relief charge, preceptor, etc.).
• Licensure: Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA)
• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients and their families.
• Oversee the clinical operations of the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager and/or Chief Nurse Executive.
