About The Position

Provides leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of orientation, continuing education and inservice education programs for nursing at the department and organizational level.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in state of Florida.
  • Master's degree in nursing required. Consideration will be given to those currently enrolled in formal education to obtain MSN.
  • National nursing certification required within six months of hire.
  • Minimum of five years professional nursing practice experience required with clinical, management, and/or education experience.
  • Must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills with knowledge and application of professional nursing practice environments and quality/safety improvement processes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate skills in creating vision, effecting change and facilitating transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of needs-based educational systems that support clinical practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversight for the coordination, development, and evaluation of the Competence Evaluation Program for the enterprise.
  • Evaluating aggregate patterns of competence within the Department.
  • Providing leadership to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.
