About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the direction and coordination of services for patients and staff according to hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines on a hospital-wide basis for the designated shift. Upholds standards for the delivery of quality patient care. Demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization. Applies good verbal and non-verbal skills to achieve service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment. USC is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or in a health-related field.
  • Current clinical expertise in a variety of nursing areas.
  • Progressive experience in a variety of nursing areas with one year in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to react to situations demonstrating good judgment and common sense.

  • Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
  • Arrhythmia Certificate
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
  • Workplace Violence Training Program Within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable to the Lead Administrative Coordinator and/or Vice President/CNO for overall work performance.
  • Acts as a clinical and administrative resource to both staff and management.
  • Assures a safe environment for patients and personnel.
  • Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among co-workers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships.
  • Functions as a professional competent role model.
  • Functions as the administrative designee.
  • Identifies and meets staff development needs.
  • Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control, performance improvement, and quality planning activities.
