About The Position

POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY The Grants Administration Coordinator provides comprehensive support for research and grant activities within the Department of Family Medicine. This role supports compliance with institutional and sponsor requirements, facilitates efficient project management, and contributes to the department’s mission of advancing research and education. Research and Grant Coordination Coordinate all aspects of research and grant activity for faculty investigators, including pre-award and post-award processes. Assist with proposal development, budget preparation, and submission through institutional systems. Monitor timelines and deliverables to ensure successful completion of sponsored projects. Planning and Implementation Plan, organize, and implement research activities in collaboration with investigators and project teams. Develop project schedules, track milestones, and maintain accurate documentation for all research initiatives. Compliance and Best Practices Ensure adherence to federal, state, and institutional regulations governing research and sponsored projects. Maintain good practices involving research protocols, grant guidelines, and ethical standards. Prepare and submit required reports to sponsors and regulatory bodies. Administrative Support Provide administrative assistance for research projects, including meeting coordination, recordkeeping, and communication with stakeholders. Manage grant-related financial transactions, monitor budgets, and reconcile accounts. Evaluation and Continuous Improvement Evaluate research activities for efficiency and compliance, recommending improvements where necessary. Support faculty and staff training on grant processes and compliance requirements.
