  • Provide administrative support to the Resource Protection Chief of Police to include; telephone coverage, meeting and travel arrangements, maintaining itineraries, coordinating and maintaining appointment schedules, arranging meetings, processing office moves and equipment acquisitions, managing data base on head count, vacancies, and postings.
  • Appropriate action, follow-up on status and responses.
  • Process expense reports, invoices, and request for; office moves, user ids, corporate travel cards, building access cards, computer and telecommunications equipment acquisitions, conference room scheduling, catering, team and customer meetings and using spreadsheets to track projects, and create graphs and charts.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to resolve problems and/or handle requests for information.
  • Provide support, as needed, to other administrative assistants.
  • Prior administrative assistant experience is required.
  • Successful candidate must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Candidate must be able to type at least 40 WPM.
  • Candidate must be able to create graphs and charts in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously as well as maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong proofreading, editing and grammar skills required.
  • Candidate must have passed or be able to pass the administrative assistant assessment. If a candidate has failed the assessment within the last six months, the candidate is ineligible for this position.
