About The Position

The Admin Assistant/Weighmaster at Pacific Coast Recycling Inc. is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and professional customer service to drivers, customers, and vendors
  • Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Write and distribute email correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area including cash register and surrounding space
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Assist in opening and closing procedures as needed
  • Work with a POS system for scale weigh tickets, invoices, billing, accepting and applying payments
  • Operate the truck scale system to weigh inbound and outbound trucks/customers and accurately record all transaction data in the system
  • Verify paperwork for all loads and ensure proper documentation for each transaction
  • Monitor and record gross, tare, and net weights of vehicles entering and leaving the facility
  • Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and other reporting tools to ensure accurate tracking of daily operations
  • Manage cash register, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of scale transactions, including petty cash handling and assisting with the end of day closing processes
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately
  • Screen and record incoming loads at the scale house and direct vehicles as needed
  • Ensure that all drivers, subhaulers, and internal staff submit proper documentation from landfills and other destinations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the facility
