About The Position

Provides administrative support to department leadership by coordinating communications, meetings, records, and presentations. Coordinates payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, and financial liaison tasks while maintaining confidentiality and supporting smooth daily operations across multiple departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Five or more years’ experience in a customer service or administrative / clerical role required
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • CHAA certification preferred
  • Knowledge of medical coding preferred
  • Exhibits excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Utilizes assertive communication skills in addressing concerns or problems.
  • Participates as a member of organization/institutional committees as requested.
  • Able to conceive innovative strategies and ideas for the center, exhibiting “out of the box” thinking.
  • Performs job duties effectively with minimal direction.
  • Initiates new ideas and projects that enhance patient care or other aspects of services and care.
  • Serves as a team member and role model among co-workers and peers.
  • Assures that any oral or written disclosure of personally identifiable healthcare information should be minimum necessary to serve the purpose of performing quality care to the patient.
  • Understands any disclosure outside payment, treatment, or healthcare operations requires written patient authorization in each instance.
  • Understands and demonstrates sensitivity to the cultural diversity of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Requires a strong understanding of administrative and office work and procedures with the ability to file accurately.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; proficient with computers to include keyboarding, navigation and use of email.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and duties with deadlines
  • Ability to work with multi-line phone and computer systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Effective customer service and relationship building skills with patients, visitors and staff; ability to respect dignity of all patients and follow HIPAA rules without breaches in confidentiality.
  • Ability to transcribe documents.
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and present information.
  • Ability to lead, train, and mentor AAI and AAII staff.
  • Ability to coordinate positive workflow and AA staff optimal scheduling.
