About the position

The University of New Mexico, Office for Community Health invites applications for an Administrative Assistant 2 position for a health extension program. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the health extension team to oversee a variety of associated administrative, fiscal, staff support, and planning activities, as well as scheduling and organizational needs. The health extension program works with a variety of teams within OCH including Health Extension Regional Officers (HEROs), data evaluation, training, and more to create a project that revolves around community-based health to address Social Drivers of Health at a local and state level.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee administrative, fiscal, staff support, and planning activities.
  • Manage scheduling and organizational needs for the health extension team.
  • Collaborate with various teams within the Office for Community Health.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with P-card purchasing, LoboMart, and knowledge of Chrome River system processes.
  • Experience with Banner.
  • Experience with purchasing office equipment such as printers and copiers.
  • Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, PPT, Excel, and Smartsheets.
  • Experience with Zoom and Teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
