About The Position

UNM Neurology in the UNM School of Medicine plays a critical role in improving the health of all New Mexicans. Our department is the Southwestern hub for advanced neurological diagnosis and patient care. We seek a dynamic individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant 2 to be a part of our important mission. We seek someone with excellent customer service skills who can support the department faculty and staff including with IT/Equipment support and inventory, process improvement, special projects, and purchasing and reimbursements. Duties and responsibilities include: P-Card purchasing, reimbursements and support IT and equipment support, inventory and purchasing Assist department Faculty and Staff with special projects or requests Process improvement Scheduling via an electronic calendar and setting up video meetings and interviews Greeting and escorting visitors Assist with setting up events, conferences, and meetings Fulfill other administrative duties as assigned See the Position Description for additional information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong skills with software troubleshooting and setup, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with vendors and campus IT departments to assist with help tickets etc.
  • Strong skills using MS Office, Outlook Calendar, video conference software (i.e. Zoom, Teams, etc), and maintaining web content and online databases
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Experience with Chrome River, LoboMart, PowerChart and Faculty Success

Responsibilities
