In the Administrative Assistant role at Wayfair, you will play a crucial part in supporting both warehouse operations and business functions. This position requires you to balance multiple warehouse projects while providing essential general office support. Your responsibilities will include extensive and accurate data entry, mining for data, and constructing meaningful, actionable reports. For instance, you will be tasked with creating monthly PowerPoint presentations for the break room and updating our Units Per Hour (UPH) forecast on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for purchasing and managing the inventory of supplies for the warehouse, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for smooth operations. Scheduling all incoming truckload, Less Than Truckload (LTL), and shuttle shipments for the warehouse, as well as managing returns shipments and yard management, will be part of your daily duties. Additionally, you will keep track of outbound truckloads and oversee the invoicing for maintenance and utilities on a weekly and monthly basis. Your role will require you to retrieve all paperwork from each department daily and file it accordingly. You may also be asked to perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned, such as processing calls or emails to service customers during peak demand times. This position is vital to maintaining the high level of delivery standards that Wayfair is known for, and it offers a dynamic work environment where you can grow and develop your skills.
